Hey, I'm Abraham. Glad you're here.

I grew up bilingual in Southern California. Spanish at home, English at school, both everywhere in between. For most of my life I didn't think much of it — it was just how I talked. It took becoming a teacher to realize that being fluent in two languages isn't just useful. It's a way of understanding how people learn.

For 13 years I worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I cleaned teeth, read scans, and spent a lot of time explaining complicated things to nervous people in whichever language made them feel more at ease. I was good at it, and I liked it. But the part I kept coming back to — the part that actually lit me up — was the teaching. Watching someone go from lost to "oh, I get it now." That moment never got old.

So I made a plan. In March 2026 I earned my CELTA certification from Cambridge, which is the standard for teaching English as a foreign language. I also have a BA in Communications from Cal State Fullerton. And in September 2026 I'm moving to Granada, Spain — to teach, to live, and to keep working with students online from wherever they are.

Here's what I want you to know: I've spent most of my adult life explaining things to adults. Real adults with real jobs and real limited time. I know what it's like to sit in a class and feel like everyone else gets it except you. I know what it's like to study English for years and still freeze when someone actually talks to you. And because I'm a native speaker in both languages, I can usually tell you exactly why something feels hard — not just that it is.

If you're a healthcare professional working toward a US license, I can help with that too. But most of my students are regular people who just want to feel good speaking English. That's who I built this for.

I take teaching seriously. I don't take myself too seriously. If that sounds like the kind of person you want in your corner, let's talk.
